Aimee Peterson isn’t your average broker — she’s the driving force behind one of South Carolina’s top-producing real estate brokerages, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto, proudly serving the Charleston, Summerville, and surrounding Lowcountry markets. With a Masters in Counseling from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, her skills to listen to what her client's and agent's need, has made her a successful leader.
As Broker-in-Charge and co-owner alongside her husband, Terry Peterson, Aimee leads a powerhouse team of over 100 agents, collectively achieving more than 400 closed transactions this year. Under their leadership, BHGRE Palmetto has earned some of the most respected honors in the industry, including Best in Brokerage Technology from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Best Place to Work, Realtor of Distinction, Top 500 Real Estate Agent in Charleston, and Best Brokerage in Charleston. Many of her agents have also gone on to win “Best Real Estate Agent” in their individual markets, a direct reflection of her coaching, culture, and standards of excellence.
Aimee’s leadership blends old-school integrity with forward-thinking innovation. She’s a hands-on mentor, a marketing strategist, and a systems builder — training agents to grow sustainable, brand-driven businesses using modern technology, video, AI, and storytelling that actually converts. Her ability to merge design, tech, and performance has made BHGRE Palmetto one of the most respected and recognizable brokerages in the Carolinas.
Beyond the brokerage, Aimee has served on multiple boards, including Women in Real Estate, local MLS leadership, and Broker Advisory Councils. A true entrepreneur at heart, she has owned and sold multiple businesses, giving her a rare depth of experience in leadership, operations, and growth strategy.
When she’s not leading her team or shaping the next generation of real estate talent, Aimee can often be found fine-tuning marketing systems, supporting community events, or teaching classes that empower agents to build confidence and scale their business.
