Meet Alma Lacefield: Charleston Realtor, Team Builder, and Advocate for Homeownership

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto is excited to welcome Alma Lacefield to our brokerage. After five years building her career as an independent real estate agent, Alma is taking her next step with us: starting a team dedicated to helping more people feel at home in the Charleston area.

Alma is a bilingual Realtor fluent in Spanish who serves Charleston, South Carolina, and the surrounding Lowcountry communities. She brings real estate experience, a welcoming approach, and a personal understanding of what it means to make a new place home.

Finding Home in the Lowcountry

Born in California and raised in Iowa by Mexican parents, Alma came to Charleston as a military wife. She has now called the Lowcountry home for ten years.

She remembers arriving without family nearby and building a life from the ground up. That experience gives Alma a special connection with people relocating to Charleston. She knows they may be looking for more than the right house. They are also looking for community, connection, and a place where they can settle in.

Helping Military Families and the Latino Community

As a Certified Vetted VA Professional, Alma has a passion for serving veterans and military families. She understands that a move can bring questions about timing, location, and the homebuying process, and she wants her clients to feel informed as they consider their options.

Alma is also committed to helping members of the Latino community pursue homeownership and build generational wealth. As a Spanish-speaking Realtor, she can explain the process, answer questions, and help clients feel more confident when language or unfamiliar terms might otherwise stand in the way.

For Alma, the most rewarding part of real estate is educating and empowering people while building genuine relationships. She wants everyone she meets to feel welcomed, comfortable, and accepted.

Outside of real estate, Alma is a mom of three who enjoys working out, cooking, traveling, spending time at the beach, discovering great food, staying organized, and being around people who make her laugh.
